Ivan Spisso receive a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester (UK) in 2013, for the development of a prefactored high-order compact scheme for low-speed aeroacoustics.
During his stay at CINECA, he got 10 years of experience in the development, verification, validation, and production runs of CFD codes to be used in HPC environments, both for academic and industrial applications.
Starting from April 2021, he joined Leonardo S.p.a. He started as a Senior HPC specialist for CFD/CAE applications at Leonardo Labs, in the Digital Twin and Advanced Simulation Research Group, located in the HPC Labs of Genova (Italy).
Since October 2022, he is a staff member of Leonardo Corporate CTIO (Chief Technology and Innovation Office), Unity PD&DE, Product Development and Digital Engineering. Competence centre, Simulation
Since October 2019, he is the chairman of OpenFOAM HPC Technical Committee.
He has a long experience in organizing workshops and thematic schools related to CFD applications.
