Mathieu Gontier works at AMD in the HPC Center of Excellence group as a Senior Field Support Manager. He is first focused on HPC and end-users, although his area of expertise is turned to advanced characterizations of real-world applications and performance modeling targeting AMD EPYC Processors and software enabling. Mathieu obtained an Engineering degree in Applied Mathematics from the “Institute des Sciences and Techniques de l’Ingenieur de Lyon” (ISTIL) hold by the University of Lyon (France). After a decade as a HPC developer for ISVs, Mathieu joined the chip manufacturing with a pragmatic picture of the expectations from the HPC community.
